Audit of High Dependency Care for Children and Young People
The Audit of High Dependency Care for Children and Young People in Scotland summarises the findings of a national audit conducted by National Services Division between November 2006 - October 2007. The audit was designed to quantify demand for paediatric high dependency care and assess the services available in hospitals across Scotland.
Returns were received from 4,800 children and information was captured on 9,680 individual episodes of high dependency care. The analysis of this robust dataset offers key messages to planners within NHS Boards, Regional Planning Groups and national organisations.
