Adult Neuro-Oncology MCN (Scottish Adult Neuro-Oncology Network)
The Scottish Adult Neuro-Oncology Network (SANON) is now into its second year. The purpose of the SANON MCN is to optimise the management of people with primary brain tumours in Scotland to produce a single Scottish service with accessible regional teams. The network helps bring together existing clinical neuro-oncology services in Scotland into a planned, co-ordinated single system for delivery of quality patient care through common protocols. A multidisciplinary Executive Committee and sub-groups have been established to take forward a comprehensive work programme to develop:-
- National prospective audit
- Protocols, pathways, guidelines and standards
- Pathways and supportive and psychological care
- Training/education and research
- Patient information/communication and website
